About
Systems, people, and the space between them.
My professional work has focused on developer systems — the build systems, internal platforms, and frameworks that teams rely on to ship effectively and confidently. Good developer systems are quietly the highest-leverage thing an engineering organization owns, and I care a lot about getting them right.
The other half of my professional work is engineering leadership. Even in an agentic world software systems are built by teams, so cultivating the skills and relationships to maintain productive, effective, and aligned teams is vital.
Outside of work I've been a life long gamer, and most recently that passion has evolved into designing my own board games.
The rest of it happens outdoors. I live on the North Shore, ten minutes from more mountain bike trail than I will ever ride, and I get out into it as often as a new parent reasonably can — which is to say, less than before, and with far more appreciation for the hours I do get.

Developer systems
Professionally my focus has been on building platforms and frameworks to enable engineering teams of any scale, from small teams to engineering cohorts of hundreds and thousands of contributors.
Engineering leadership
Growing other technical leaders, setting technical direction, and building alignment across teams of any size.
Game design
Board gaming has been a long running passion of mine, and in it's latest form I've started designing my own games.
Outdoor recreation
Mountain biking and skiing wherever I can, and sharing that joy with friends whenever we can find the time.
Parenthood
New to the joy of being a father, but loving every moment of it.
